Recognition Notes

The CDA-3G is a 40-ton striker built on the Cicada chassis, a 3056 rework of the 2740 CDA-2A that trades the scout's reconnaissance role for close-quarters fighting power while keeping the same cruising speed of 86 km/h and top speed of 130. In place of the base model's Small Laser in the center torso it fields an ER Large Laser in the left torso, and the two Medium Lasers remain split between the left and right torsos. A Beagle active probe sits in the right torso, absent on the CDA-2A, and an XL fusion engine and endo steel structure free up mass for a jump capability of 240 meters that the original lacked. Ferro-fibrous armor replaces the standard plating of the CDA-2A, and the design keeps the armless configuration of its forebear. Gibson Federated BattleMechs builds it at Gibson, alongside Westover BattleMechs' line.
