Recognition Notes
The Centurion CN9-D5 is a 50-ton skirmisher that fights at medium range, a 3062 rebuild of the 2801-vintage CN9-A. Where the CN9-A ran a 200 fusion engine at 43 km/h cruising, this version carries a 300 XL fusion engine that pushes cruising speed to 65 km/h and top speed to 97, with a MASC-driven sprint to 130 km/h. In place of the AC/10 it mounts a Rotary AC/5 in the right arm, and twin ER Medium Lasers in the center torso replace the earlier medium laser and rear-facing medium laser; the LRM 10 in the left torso is dropped. Endo steel structure and double heat sinks replace the CN9-A's standard structure and single heat sinks, and the left torso now carries a targeting computer alongside the MASC. CASE lines the right torso, and a C3 slave unit sits in the head. Corean Enterprises builds the type at New Avalon, with additional production elsewhere.
