Black Hawk (Nova) R

The Black Hawk (Nova) R is a 50-ton skirmisher that swaps the Prime configuration's twin batteries of ER Medium Lasers for a different mix of short-range weapons. Where the Prime mounts six ER Medium Lasers in the left arm, this configuration carries six AP Gauss Rifles there, and the right arm's six ER Medium Lasers give way to four Medium Re-engineered Lasers. The engine remains a 250 XL fusion unit, now built to mixed Inner Sphere and Clan specification, but the heat-sink count drops from 18 to 14 Clan double sinks. A supercharger in the center torso lets the R push to a sprint speed of 108 km/h when engaged, well above its 54 km/h cruising speed and 86 km/h top speed, and it retains the 150-metre jump range. The low, hard-to-target silhouette and combat computer carry over from the Prime, and Tokasha MechWorks builds the type at its Tokasha plant.
