Albatross C "Sooty Albatross"

The Albatross C 'Sooty Albatross' is a 95-ton assault that fights at long range, a 3148 rebuild of the 3053 ALB-3U brawler. In place of the LB 10-X AC it carries a Gauss Rifle in the left arm, and the right arm swaps the Large Pulse Laser and twin Medium Lasers for an ER Large Pulse Laser and twin ER Medium Lasers. Where the original mounted an ER Large Laser in the left torso, this variant carries a Plasma Cannon, and the right torso's LRM 15 and SRM 6 give way to a single ATM 9 launcher. Inner Sphere CASE II protects the left torso in place of the paired CASE units, and Inner Sphere composite structure with Inner Sphere ferro-fibrous armor replace the standard structure and armor of the ALB-3U, mixing Inner Sphere and Clan technology on its 380 Inner Sphere XL fusion engine. It carries fifteen Inner Sphere double heat sinks and jumps up to 120 meters, cruising at 43 km/h and topping out near 65. It is an easily-serviced design, and Irian BattleMechs Unlimited builds it at Washburn.
