Albatross ALB-5U

The Albatross ALB-5U is a 95-ton assault brawler, a 3091 rebuild of the 3053 ALB-3U, cruising at 43 km/h and topping out near 65. Where the ALB-3U carried an LB 10-X AC in the left arm, this variant fields a Rotary AC/2 in its place, and the Large Pulse Laser in the right arm gives way to a Large X-Pulse Laser alongside a pair of ER Medium Lasers replacing the original's Medium Lasers. In the left torso an ER Small Laser stands in for the ER Large Laser, and the right torso's LRM 15 and SRM 6 combination is replaced by a single MML 7. The engine swaps from an XL to a 380 light fusion unit, heavy ferro-fibrous armor replaces the standard plating, and CASE now covers only the left torso instead of both torsos. It keeps the easily-serviced layout of the line, and Irian BattleMechs Unlimited builds it at its Washburn plant.
