The Albatross ALB-4U is a 95-ton brawler that trades the ALB-3U's ballistic punch for extended-range firepower while holding the same 43 km/h cruise and 65 km/h top speed. In place of the LB 10-X AC in the left arm it carries a Light Gauss Rifle, and the twin Medium Lasers in the right arm give way to twin ER Medium Lasers alongside the Large Pulse Laser. The left torso's ER Large Laser is replaced by an ER Small Laser, and the right torso's SRM 6 becomes a Streak SRM 6 alongside the LRM 15. Ferro-fibrous armor replaces the standard plating of the earlier model, though CASE now lines only the left torso where the ALB-3U protected both side torsos. It remains an easily-serviced design, built by Irian BattleMechs Unlimited at its Irian facility.
