Albatross ALB-6U

The Albatross ALB-6U is a 95-ton assault brawler, a 3118 rework of the 3053 ALB-3U, cruising at 43 km/h and topping out at 65. It drops the ALB-3U's LB 10-X AC for a Gauss Rifle in the left arm, and trades the right arm's Large Pulse Laser and paired Medium Lasers for a Large VSP Laser and two ER Medium Lasers. In the left torso a Light PPC replaces the ER Large Laser, while the right torso keeps its LRM 15 and SRM 6. Composite internal structure and ferro-fibrous armor replace the standard structure and armor of the ALB-3U, and a single CASE II installation in the left torso stands where the earlier design carried separate CASE units in both torsos. Heat sink count falls from 14 double to 13 double, and the chassis is noted as an easily-serviced design. Irian BattleMechs Unlimited builds it at Washburn.
