Ontos Heavy Tank (MML)

The Ontos Heavy Tank (MML) is a 95-ton tracked combat vehicle refit for the sniper role at long range, cruising at 32 km/h with a top speed near 54. Where the base Ontos crowds its turret with eight medium lasers and a pair of LRM 5 racks, this variant carries a pair of Light Gauss Rifles, two MML 7 launchers, and two ER medium lasers in the turret instead. The original's mediocre-range brawling loadout gives way to stand-off gunnery, and the ICE plant is replaced by a fusion engine under Ferro-Fibrous armor in place of the base's standard plate. CASE is fitted in the hull, a safeguard the original Ontos never carried. Grumman Amalgamated built the base tank at Shiro III, and this refit is turned out there and at various other sites.
