Kintaro KTO-C

The KTO-C is a 55-ton skirmisher, a battlefield refit of the 2587-vintage KTO-19 rather than a factory-fresh design. The left arm now carries a single SRM 6 in place of the original's paired LRM 5 and SRM 6, and the right arm drops one of its two medium lasers, retaining just one. In the center torso, a Large Laser replaces the Narc launcher, while the right torso keeps its SRM 6 and picks up an LRM 5 relocated from the arm. Double heat sinks replace the KTO-19's single sinks, and a C3 slave unit is fitted in the right torso. Cruising speed, top speed, tonnage, and the ferro-fibrous armor all carry over unchanged from the base machine, and the type retains its rugged, field-serviceable frame. As a refit rather than a production line item, it is assembled at various sites rather than a single named factory.
