Imp IMP-2E

The IMP-2E is a 100-ton juggernaut refit of the 2793 Imp, cruising at 32 km/h and topping out at 54. Where the IMP-1A carried twin ER PPCs in the torsos, this refit swaps in a PPC on each side, and the medium pulse lasers scattered across the arms, torsos, and center torso give way to standard medium lasers in the same locations. The LRM 20 in the right arm is replaced by an LRM 15, and the head-mounted small laser, the Artemis IV fire-control system, and the CASE installation are all gone. Single heat sinks replace the double sinks and rise in number from 18 to 30. It remains a command 'Mech and a maintenance-intensive design, now assembled piecemeal as a field refit at various sites rather than built at a single factory.
