Hoplite HOP-5C

The HOP-5C is a 3138 rebuild of the 2578 Hoplite, a 55-ton medium mounting an MML 5 in the left arm and an Ultra AC/10 in the right arm, where the HOP-4A carried its LRM 5 and AC/10 in the torsos. Where the original stood in an armless configuration, this variant mounts minimal weapon-pod arms without hands, each fitted with an actuator enhancement system. Inner Sphere endo steel replaces the standard internal structure, and Inner Sphere ballistic-reinforced armor replaces the base model's standard plating; Clan CASE II lines both the left and right torso. The heat-sink count falls from 16 single to 10 Clan double, and cruising and top speed hold at 43 and 65 km/h. Arc-Royal MechWorks builds the HOP-5C at Arc-Royal.
