Hoplite HOP-4Cb

The HOP-4Cb is a 55-ton brawler built for close-in fighting, a 2821 rework of the 2578 HOP-4A that trades the earlier machine's stand-off armament for a mix meant to hit hard up close. Where the HOP-4A carried an LRM 5 and an AC/10 in the torsos, this variant fields a Gauss Rifle in the right arm and an SRM 6 in the left arm. CASE now lines both the left torso and the right torso, and ferro-fibrous armor replaces the base model's standard plating. The heat-sink count drops from 16 single sinks to 10 double sinks, and the type keeps the minimal, weapon-pod arms without hands seen on the chassis. Eden Consolidated Weaponry builds it at Eden (Irkutsk).
