The Firefly FFL-4D is a 30-ton striker that cruises at 54 km/h and tops out near 86, with a 120-metre jump capability carried over from the FFL-3A. Where the older model filled its arms and torsos with a scatter of small and medium lasers plus a TAG unit, the 4D strips the right arm bare and fits an Anti-Missile System in the left arm, while the torsos mount an ER medium laser apiece in the left, right, and center. The LRM 5 in the right torso remains, now paired with an Artemis IV fire-control system, and CASE has moved from the right torso to the left. A 150 light fusion engine and endo steel structure replace the FFL-3A's 150 XL fusion engine and standard structure, and the heat-sink count drops from 10 double to 12 single. The chassis keeps its minimal, weapon-pod arms without hands, and is built by Arc-Royal MechWorks at Arc-Royal, with Blackwell Corporation producing it at Outreach as well.
