The FFL-4C is a 30-ton striker built as a field conversion of the 2679 FFL-3A, cruising at 54 km/h, topping out near 86, and keeping the 120-metre jump capability of the original chassis. Where the FFL-3A carried a scatter of small and medium lasers with a TAG unit in the left arm, this conversion drops those weapons for an Anti-Missile System in the left arm and removes the right arm's small laser outright. Medium Pulse Lasers replace the mixed medium/small laser pairs in the left torso, right torso, and center torso, and the right torso's LRM 5 now fires through an added Artemis IV fire-control system. CASE moves from the right torso to the left torso, endo steel internal structure replaces the FFL-3A's standard structure, and standard armor plating replaces its ferro-fibrous plating. The FFL-4C's arms are minimal weapon pods without hands, and the type is fielded through various depot conversions rather than a single manufacturer line.
