Balius D

The Balius D is a 65-ton heavy fielded as a skirmisher, cruising at 65 km/h and reaching 97 km/h, with a jump range of 180 metres that the Prime configuration lacks. Where the Prime carries paired ER Large Lasers and Medium Pulse Lasers in the side torsos, the D replaces that battery with an ER PPC in the left torso and four ER Medium Lasers in the right torso. Both configurations keep the pair of rear-facing Medium Pulse Lasers in the center torso and the Flamer in the head, but the D runs 10 double heat sinks against the Prime's 14. The frame is built rugged and field-serviceable, and Manufacturing Site 3 produces the type at New Oslo.
