Viper (Black Python) 3

The Viper (Black Python) 3 is a 75-ton skirmisher, cruising at 54 km/h and topping out at 86, that redistributes its close-in punch and trades reach for heavier torso lasers relative to the 3051 original. Where the base Black Python carries both machine guns in the left arm, this variant splits them, one in each arm, and swaps the Large Pulse Laser in each torso for a Heavy Large Laser, keeping the Medium Pulse Laser and paired Small Pulse Lasers in each side torso. A targeting computer remains fitted in the right arm. The heat-sink count rises from 13 to 17 double sinks, while jump range falls from 150 to 120 metres. New Kent Armorworks builds the type at its New Kent (Celebes) plant.
