Thunder THR-1L

The Thunder THR-1L is a 70-ton heavy that carries an AC/20 in its right torso alongside three medium pulse lasers split across the left torso, right torso, and center torso, with an LRM 5 rounding out the left torso mount. A 350 XL fusion engine gives it a cruising speed of 54 km/h and a top speed of 86 km/h, brisk for a machine hauling an autocannon of that caliber. CASE lines the left torso, guarding against the ammunition stored alongside the pulse laser and LRM there, and the chassis carries a reinforced head cowl. Eleven double heat sinks manage the load from the three lasers and the autocannon, and Ceres Metals Industries builds the type at its Capella plant, with additional production at Sian and St. Ives.
