The Star Adder (Blood Asp) A is a 90-ton assault brawler that carries a Heavy Large Laser and an ER PPC in each arm, where the Prime configuration mounts a Heavy Medium Laser and Medium Pulse Laser in each arm along with a Gauss Rifle in each torso and a Streak SRM 6 in the center torso. The A configuration carries no torso-mounted weapons at all, trading that firepower for jump jets that give it a 90-meter jump, a capability the Prime configuration does not carry. It also runs 25 double heat sinks against the Prime's 18, cruising at the same 43 km/h and topping out near 65 km/h on its 360 XL fusion engine. The frame is described as rugged and field-serviceable, and it is built by Sheridan LM-TA 8-10 at Sheridan, with production also carried out at the Snow Raven Industrial Complex Alpha.
