Mercury MCY-97

The MCY-97 is a 20-ton scout, a 3049 rework of the 2742 MCY-99 original, cruising at 86 km/h and topping out at 130, with a MASC-driven sprint of 173 km/h when engaged. Where the MCY-99 carries a medium laser in the right arm and left torso along with small lasers in the center torso and head, this variant keeps only the medium laser in the right arm and the small laser in the center torso, dropping the left torso medium laser and the head-mounted small laser. In their place the left torso houses a Beagle active probe. The 160 fusion engine, ferro-fibrous armor, and center torso MASC carry over from the MCY-99, and the design remains an easily-serviced one built by Skobel MechWorks at Terra.
