Mastodon A

The Mastodon A is a 95-ton assault built for sniping, cruising at 32 km/h and topping out at 54. Where the Prime configuration mounts an ER PPC in each arm, this configuration replaces them with a trio of Large Pulse Lasers packed into the left arm and a Gauss Rifle in the right arm. In place of the twin Streak LRM 20 racks in the torsos, it fields a single LRM 15 in the right torso, linked to an Artemis IV fire-control system, with CASE II protecting that side rather than both. The heat-sink count falls from 19 to 17 double sinks, and the frame retains the rugged, field-serviceable construction and maintenance-intensive reputation common to the chassis.
