Mackie MSK-7A

The Mackie MSK-7A is a 100-ton assault built as a juggernaut, a 2488 rebuild of the 2439 MSK-5S sniper. Where the 5S mounted a primitive prototype PPC in the left arm, the 7A carries a standard PPC, and the AC/5 in the right arm gives way to an AC/20. The single large laser once mounted in the center torso is split into two, one in the left torso and one in the right. Standard armor replaces the 5S's primitive plating, and the heat-sink count rises from 17 to 21 single sinks, even as a lighter 300 fusion engine holds cruising and top speeds at 32 and 54 km/h. The frame keeps its rugged, field-serviceable build, easily serviced in the field, and Skobel MechWorks produces it at Terra.
