Kodiak (Cale)

The Kodiak (Cale) is a 100-ton assault juggernaut, a 3068 rework of the 3001 original that trades the base Kodiak's brawling loadout for a mix of reach and command support. Where the original mounted an Ultra AC/20 in the right torso, this variant carries a plain AC/10 there, and the ER Large Laser in the center torso gives way to a Heavy PPC in the right arm. The left arm keeps five ER Medium Lasers but drops one of the original's eight for a standard Medium Laser, and a further Medium Laser sits in the head. Twin Streak SRM 6 racks remain in the left torso, now alongside a C3 Computer (Master), and a Beagle active probe fills the right torso. The 300 Clan fusion engine is lighter than the original's 400 XL, and cruising speed falls from 43 km/h to 32, with a top speed of 54 km/h against the original's 65. Both arms still carry reinforced battle fists, and the type is built by Bergan Industries - Alshain Weapons at its Alshain factory, with production also at Ghost Bear Facility Beta-1 on Bearclaw.
