Hornet HNT-181

The HNT-181 is a 20-ton striker, a 3130 refit of the 2760 original that keeps the same 54 km/h cruising speed and 86 km/h top speed while reworking its innards. An XL fusion engine and endo steel structure replace the standard fusion plant and standard internal structure, and ferro-fibrous armor replaces the base model's standard plating. Where the HNT-151 carries a Small Laser and Medium Laser in the arms, this variant fields an ER Small Laser in the left arm and a Small Re-engineered Laser in the right, and the right torso's MML 5 stands in place of the LRM 5. CASE now lines the left torso, and the heat sinks are compact rather than single. It keeps the minimal, weapon-pod arms without hands and the low, hard-to-target silhouette of the earlier model.
