Goshawk (Vapor Eagle) 5

The Goshawk (Vapor Eagle) 5 is a 55-ton skirmisher, a 2922 rebuild of the 2850 original that trades the Vapor Eagle 6's reach for closer punch. Where the 6 mounts three ER medium lasers in the right arm, this configuration carries three medium pulse lasers there, and the right torso's Ultra AC/2 gives way to a single medium pulse laser. In the left torso, an LRM 20 with an Artemis IV fire-control system stands in place of the base's Ultra AC/2, while the three machine guns in the left arm and the machine gun in the left torso carry over unchanged. The targeting computer in the right torso is retained, heat-sink count drops from 11 to 10 double sinks, and the type runs on ferro-fibrous armor over an endo steel structure, cruising at 65 km/h with a jump range of 180 metres. New Kent Armorworks builds it alongside other Clan production sites.
