Defiance DFN-3S

The DFN-3S is a 75-ton brawler, a 3074 rework of the 3057 DFN-3C, cruising at 43 km/h and topping out near 65 with the same figure available as a boosted cruising speed. A 300 light fusion engine replaces the original's 300 XL fusion engine, and where the DFN-3C's left torso carries twin Medium Pulse Lasers and twin Small Lasers, this variant fields twin ER Medium Lasers and twin ER Small Lasers in that same location. The center torso now holds a single SRM 6 rather than a pair, while the ER PPCs in both arms, the LB 10-X AC in the right torso, and the Machine Gun in the head carry over unchanged. The type keeps its hyper-extending arm actuators, fixed searchlight, and stable firing platform, and Defiance Industries builds it at Furillo rather than Hesperus II.
