Daedalus DAD-4B

The Daedalus DAD-4B is a 45-ton striker that fights close in, a 3067 rework of the 3053 original. Where the DAD-3C carried a Large Pulse Laser in the right arm, this variant fields an ER Medium Laser there, and the DAD-3C's Machine Gun in the left arm is gone. The left torso swaps the earlier SRM 6 and SRM 4 pairing for a Streak SRM 6 and a Medium Pulse Laser, and a second Medium Pulse Laser sits in the right torso where the SRM 4 and Small Laser once sat. Twin ER Small Lasers fill the head, a targeting computer occupies the right torso, and a supercharger in the center torso lets the DAD-4B sprint to 130 km/h when engaged. Heat-sink count rises from 10 to 13 double sinks, and the type remains a maintenance-intensive design built by Innovative Design Concepts on Solaris VII.
