Clint CLNT-5U

The CLNT-5U is a 40-ton striker, a 3062 rebuild of the 2607 CLNT-1-2R that trades the original's autocannon/10 and single medium laser for an all-laser energy fit. An ER large laser now sits in the right arm, and a trio of ER medium lasers is split between the left torso, with two mounted there, and the center torso, which also carries a TAG unit. Endo steel structure replaces the standard internal frame, and a light fusion engine of the same 240 rating holds cruising speed at 65 km/h and top speed at 97, with a 180-metre jump capability added. The heat-sink count rises from 10 single to 12 double, and a C3 slave unit occupies the left torso alongside the lasers. Like its predecessor, it remains a maintenance-intensive design, and it is built by Defiance Industries at Furillo.
