Chippewa CHP-W7T
Recognition Notes
The Chippewa CHP-W7T is a 90-ton fighter flown in the attack role, built around the same nose battery as its CHP-W5 predecessor: twin LRM 15 launchers, an SRM 6, and a pair of Medium Lasers, now paired with an Artemis IV FCS in the nose. Where the CHP-W5 mounted twin Large Lasers in each wing, the CHP-W7T carries a Snub-Nose PPC and a Plasma Rifle in the right wing and the same pairing in the left wing. The aft-facing Small Lasers of the CHP-W5 give way to Small Pulse Lasers in the same position. The XL engine and Ferro-Aluminum armor replace the CHP-W5's Fusion engine and Standard plating, and the craft runs on 23 double heat sinks in place of the earlier 25 single heat sinks. Vandenberg Mechanized Industries builds the type at New Vandenberg.
