Recognition Notes
The Chippewa CHP-W7 is a 90-ton fighter flown in the attack role, carrying the same nose battery of paired LRM 15s, an SRM 6, and twin Medium Lasers as the CHP-W5. In the wings the CHP-W7 swaps the CHP-W5's Large Lasers for Large Pulse Lasers, two in the right wing and two in the left, and the aft-facing Small Lasers become Small Pulse Lasers. The hull runs an XL engine under Ferro-Aluminum armor in place of the CHP-W5's Fusion engine and Standard plate, and cooling drops from 25 single heat sinks to 24 double heat sinks. Bowie Industries builds the type at Alarion, with Dell, Wasat, and Wyatt also producing it.
