Chippewa CHP-W7 (Manfred)

The Chippewa CHP-W7 (Manfred) is a 90-ton fighter flown in the attack role, rebuilt around an XL engine in place of the CHP-W5's fusion plant. In the nose, a Heavy Gauss Rifle joins one LRM 15, two Medium Lasers, and the SRM 6, where the CHP-W5 carried a second LRM 15 instead of the heavy gun. Each wing now carries a single Large Pulse Laser, down from the paired Large Lasers of the CHP-W5, and the aft mounts two Small Pulse Lasers in place of the earlier Small Lasers. The type flies in Ferro-Aluminum armor and cools through 20 double heat sinks, fewer than the CHP-W5's 25 single heat sinks despite the greater cooling capacity per sink.
