Where the Challenger MBT X mounts twin Medium Pulse Lasers on the front hull, this variant carries an SRM 4 and an SRT 4 in that same position. The turret trades the X's Gauss Rifle and LRM 10 for an ER Large Laser and an MML 7, while the LB 10-X AC and Anti-Missile System carry over in the turret alongside them. The paired Streak SRM 2 on the right side and left side and the Small Pulse Laser at the rear are unchanged from the X, though the turret's Artemis IV FCS is gone and the hull instead carries environmental sealing. Armor is upgraded from Ferro-Fibrous to Heavy Ferro-Fibrous plate. Kallon Weapon Industries builds the type at Kirklin.
