Blackjack BJ-2r

The BJ-2r is a 45-ton brawler, a 3131 field rebuild of the 2756 BJ-1X. Where the original carried four medium lasers and four flamers spread across its arms plus two more medium lasers in the torsos, this configuration swaps that array for a Large Re-engineered Laser in each arm and a single Medium Laser in the left torso. A lighter 180 fusion engine replaces the base's 225, and cruising speed falls from 54 km/h to 43, with a top speed of 65 km/h against the BJ-1X's 86. It carries 11 double heat sinks in place of the base's 18 single, and it can jump 120 metres, a capability the original lacked. The type is assembled as a field refit at various sites rather than a dedicated factory line.
