Blackjack BJ-2

The BJ-2 is a 45-ton sniper, a rework of the 2756 Blackjack that abandons the original's close-in brawling loadout entirely. Where the BJ-1X carried four medium lasers and four flamers across its arms and torsos, the BJ-2 mounts an ER Large Laser in each arm and pairs of Streak SRM 2 racks in both the left and right torso. A lighter 180 fusion engine replaces the BJ-1X's 225, dropping cruising speed from 54 to 43 km/h and top speed from 86 to 65 km/h, but the design gains jump jets giving it a 120-meter jump the earlier model lacked. Eleven double heat sinks replace the BJ-1X's eighteen single sinks. General Motors builds the BJ-2 at its Talcott plant, having produced the original BJ-1X at Kathil.
