Batu Z

The Batu Z is a 40-ton fighter flown as a fast dogfighter. Where the Prime configuration mounts an ER Large Laser in the nose, this configuration carries an Improved ATM 12 there instead, and a Nova combined electronic-warfare system sits alongside the targeting computer in that same nose location. The four Medium Pulse Lasers of the Prime configuration are gone from the wings, replaced by a pair of ER Medium Lasers in the right wing and a pair of ER Medium Lasers in the left wing. The aft ER Medium Laser of the Prime configuration gives way to an ER Small Laser in the same aft position, and CASE is fitted in the fuselage. Ten double heat sinks cool this configuration, fewer than the Prime configuration's twelve, and it carries the same Ferro-Aluminum armor. Mercer Foundries builds it at New Kent (Celebes).
