Akuma AKU-2XC

The Akuma AKU-2XC is a 90-ton assault juggernaut, a 3077 refit of the 3058 AKU-1X. In place of the original's ER PPC, Medium Pulse Laser, and Streak SRM 4 crowded into the left arm, this version carries a Snub-Nose PPC and a single Medium Laser there, with a coolant pod fitted alongside them. The Streak SRM 6 that sat in the center torso is replaced by an Angel ECM suite and a boosted C3 slave unit, and CASE now protects both the left and right torsos. The left torso's MRM 30 grows to an MRM 40 and gains an Apollo missile fire-control system, while a Medium Laser rides the right arm and an LB 10-X AC sits in the right torso. Heat-sink count falls from 13 double to 12 double, and the chassis keeps its easily-serviced layout underneath the new fit. Independence Weaponry performs the refit at its New Samarkand facility, rather than the Quentin line that built the original.
