Ymir BWP-2E

The Ymir BWP-2E is a 90-ton assault that fights at long range, a 2478 rebuild of the 2462 BWP-X1 missile boat. Where the original carried an AC/5 and a Large Laser alongside a pair of flamers in the right arm, the BWP-2E mounts a PPC in each arm instead. In place of the four SRM 2 launchers in the left torso it carries a single SRM 6, and the two LRM 5 racks in the right torso are replaced by one LRM 10. A larger 360 fusion engine lifts cruising speed from 32 to 43 km/h and top speed from 54 to 65 km/h, and standard armor replaces the BWP-X1's primitive plating. The chassis remains a stable firing platform, and Coventry Defense Conglomerate builds it at Coventry.
