Ymir BWP-2B

The Ymir BWP-2B is a 90-ton assault fielded as a missile boat, a 2475 rebuild of the 2462 BWP-X1 original. A 360 fusion engine replaces the earlier 325, lifting cruising speed from 32 to 43 km/h and top speed from 54 to 65 km/h, and standard armor replaces the primitive plating of the original. The right arm's paired vehicle flamers are gone, leaving the large laser alone, while the left arm's AC/5 is joined by a Small Laser. The four SRM 2 launchers in the left torso and the twin LRM 5 racks in the right torso carry over from the BWP-X1. The type still presents as a stable firing platform, and Coventry Defense Conglomerate builds it at Coventry.
