Uziel UZL-8S

The UZL-8S is a 50-ton striker that closes to close-in range, a marked shift from the UZL-2S's paired PPCs. Where the 2S carried a PPC in each arm and a Machine Gun in each torso, the 8S fields twin Medium Pulse Lasers in the left arm and another pair in the right arm, with a Streak SRM 6 in the center torso in place of the earlier SRM 6. A lighter 250 XL fusion engine drops cruising speed from 65 to 54 km/h and top speed from 97 to 86, though jump range grows from 180 to 240 metres. The Beagle active probe is gone from the left torso, replaced by a Guardian ECM suite in the right torso, and heat sinks rise from 10 to 12 double. Both variants share the reinforced head cowl. Defiance Industries still builds the type at Furillo.
