Uziel UZL-2S (Jacob)

The UZL-2S (Jacob) is a 50-ton striker, a 3070 rework of the 3063 UZL-2S that trades reach for closer punch. Where the original mounted twin PPCs, this variant carries a Rotary AC/5 in each arm, and the machine guns in the torsos give way to an ER Small Laser in the left torso and one in the right. The SRM 6 shifts from the center torso to the left torso, and the Beagle active probe is gone. A smaller 250 XL fusion engine drops cruising speed from 65 to 54 km/h and top speed from 97 to 86, and the design no longer jumps. Light ferro-fibrous armor replaces the standard plating of the base model, and the reinforced head cowl carries over. Defiance Industries builds it at Furillo.
