The SHG-2F rebuilds the Shogun as a close-in juggernaut, where the SHG-2H of 2777 fought as a long-range missile boat. In place of the twin LRM 15 racks it mounts an LB 5-X AC in each arm, and where the original carried four Streak SRM 2 launchers split across the torsos this variant fields a single SRM 6 in each torso. The ER PPC in the right torso gives way to a Snub-Nose PPC, and the Medium Laser and Medium Pulse Laser of the SHG-2H are absent from this loadout, as are the Artemis IV fire-control systems once fitted to both arms. Standard armor replaces the base model's ferro-fibrous plating, and the heat-sink count rises from 13 double sinks to 16 single sinks. CASE remains fitted in both torsos, and the type is noted as a maintenance-intensive design. Manufacturing Plant SFF-TU1 on Tukayyid builds the SHG-2F, with additional units produced through field refit elsewhere.
