Phantom R

The Phantom R is a 40-ton medium that fights close in, cruising at 97 km/h and topping out near 151 like the Phantom Prime. Where the Prime carries an LRM 5 for reconnaissance work, this configuration mounts an SRM 6 in the left arm, and its right arm swaps the Prime's ER medium laser for a plain medium laser. In place of the Prime's ER small laser and TAG in the left torso, this configuration fields an Improved Heavy Medium Laser, with a matching Improved Heavy Medium Laser in the right torso. Both configurations share the 360 Clan XL fusion engine, Clan endo steel structure, and Clan ferro-fibrous armor, and the mixed Inner Sphere and Clan tech base reflects the striker role rather than the Prime's scouting brief. W-5 Facilities builds it at Eden (Abaddon), among other sites.
