The Mongoose II MON-266 is a 40-ton scout that fights at long range, cruising at 86 km/h and topping out at 130, with a sprint speed of 173 km/h when its MASC is engaged. A single ER Large Laser in the center torso is its only gun, leaving the rest of the tonnage for sensors and electronics: a Beagle active probe and the MASC unit sit in the left torso, while a C3i computer and a Guardian ECM suite fill the right torso. It stands as a command 'Mech with enhanced communications gear, and its endo steel frame carries standard armor plating. Arc-Royal MechWorks builds it at Arc-Royal, with additional production at Kwangjong-ni.
