Chameleon CLN-8V

The CLN-8V is a 50-ton striker, a role reworked from the TRC-4B's scouting brief while keeping the same 65 km/h cruising speed and 97 km/h top speed, with a 180-metre jump capability. The Large Laser in the right arm gives way to an ER Large Laser, and the four Small Lasers split across both torsos are replaced by three Medium X-Pulse Lasers, one in the left torso and two in the right. The Medium Laser in the left arm and the second Medium Laser in the right arm carry over from the TRC-4B, as do the twin Machine Guns in the center torso. A 300 XL fusion engine replaces the standard 300 fusion engine, and 12 double heat sinks stand in place of the 10 single heat sinks. CASE II is fitted in the left torso, a system absent from the TRC-4B. J.B. BattleMechs Inc. builds the type at its Storfors facility.
