Cestus CTS-7A

The CTS-7A is a 65-ton brawler that closes to close-in range, cruising at 43 km/h and topping out near 65. Where the CTS-6X of 2609 packed each arm with a PPC, a Large Laser, and a Medium Pulse Laser, the CTS-7A strips that arsenal down to a Medium Pulse Laser and an ER Medium Laser per arm, trading long-reach punch for a shorter-range, lighter-heat spread. In place of the earlier design's arm-mounted battery, it adds a pair of Streak SRM 4 launchers in the left torso and an LB 20-X AC in the center torso, and its 12 double heat sinks replace the CTS-6X's 14 single sinks. Blue Shot Weapons builds the CTS-7A on Solaris VII.
