Black Lanner X

The Black Lanner X is a 55-ton medium that trades the Prime configuration's reach for closer punch. Where the Prime mounts twin ER Medium Lasers in the left arm, this configuration carries twin Improved Heavy Medium Lasers in the same arm, and in place of the Prime's ER Large Laser the right arm carries a Rotary AC/2. In place of the Prime's LRM 10 in the left torso and SRM 6 in the right torso, this configuration concentrates its arsenal in the arms and instead fields CASE II in the left arm and in the right torso, where the Prime carries an ECM suite in the head. A MASC system in the center torso drives the 385 XL fusion engine to a sprint speed of 151 km/h when engaged, well above its 76 km/h cruise and 119 km/h top speed. The design holds a stable firing platform, and Ironhold Alpha Complex builds it at Ironhold, with production also carried out at Sudeten.
