Zeus-X ZEU-9WD (Stacy)

The ZEU-9WD "Stacy" is an 80-ton assault built for the sniper's role, a shift from the ZEU-X original's skirmisher brief introduced in 3054. Where the ZEU-X carried an LB 20-X AC and an MRM 30, this variant fields an LB 10-X AC in the left arm and a Heavy PPC in the right arm, with ER Medium Lasers in the left and right torsos in place of the earlier Medium X-Pulse Lasers. A 320 light fusion engine replaces the 400 XXL unit, and cruising speed falls from 54 km/h to 43, topping out near 65 rather than 86. Light ferro-fibrous armor covers a standard internal structure in place of the ZEU-X's patchwork armor and composite structure, and Blue Shield particle field dampers are fitted through the arms, torsos, and legs, with an actuator enhancement system in the right arm and CASE in the right torso where the original ran CASE II. It remains a command 'Mech and a maintenance-intensive design, built by Defiance Industries at Hesperus II with additional production at the Defiance Manufacturing Annex.
