Xanthos XNT-5O

The Xanthos XNT-5O is a 100-ton assault standing as a 3076 rebuild of the 2564-vintage XNT-2O, trading that machine's juggernaut role for a skirmisher's brief. Cruising speed holds at 32 km/h with a 54 km/h top end, but a 300 compact fusion engine replaces the old 360 fusion plant, and the design now carries a jump capability of 150 metres the original lacked. Endo steel structure and light ferro-fibrous armor replace the standard structure and primitive plating of the XNT-2O, and the heat sink count drops from 18 single to 12 double. The weapons fit is entirely reworked: where the XNT-2O carried a Large Laser, an SRM 4, a Medium Laser, and a rear-facing Small Laser in the left torso against an AC/10 and Medium Laser in the right torso, the XNT-5O mounts twin Medium Pulse Lasers in the left torso and twin Medium Pulse Lasers in the right torso. An ER PPC sits in the center torso alongside a rear-facing ER Small Laser, and a Medium Pulse Laser in the head takes the place of the earlier Small Laser there.
