Talon TLN-5Z

The TLN-5Z is a 35-ton light that fights at long range, a 3062 rework of the 2670 TLN-5V that trades the earlier striker's twin medium lasers and PPC for a matched pair of ER large lasers in the left and right arms. The lighter 245 light fusion engine brings cruising speed down from 86 to 76 km/h and top speed from 130 to 119 km/h, and endo steel structure with ferro-fibrous armor replaces the TLN-5V's standard structure and armor. A C3 slave unit sits in the head, and the heat-sink count drops from 11 to 10 double sinks. It keeps the minimal, weapon-pod arms without hands and the rugged, field-serviceable frame of the original, and is built by Blackstone BattleMechs, Ltd at Inarcs.
