Scytha X

The Scytha X is a 90-ton fighter built for the dogfighter role, mounted on the same Clan airframe and XL engine as the base configuration. Where the base configuration carries an Ultra AC/20 with an ER Small Laser and an ER Large Laser in the nose, this configuration mounts a single Improved Heavy Large Laser there, and each wing carries a pair of Improved Heavy Large Lasers in place of the base configuration's paired ER Large Lasers. The aft-facing ER Medium Lasers are absent; the aft position instead holds a rear-mounted Watchdog CEWS. CASE sits in the nose, right wing, left wing, and fuselage, the fuselage adding a coolant pod, and heat sink count rises to 30 double heat sinks from the base configuration's 26. Armor remains ferro-aluminum. Complex H-3 CCC builds the type at Homer.
