Samurai SL-27

The Samurai SL-27 is a 50-ton fighter flown as a fast dogfighter. Where the SL-25 mounts three medium lasers and a small laser in the nose, the SL-27 carries a plasma rifle and two medium pulse lasers there. The right wing and left wing each swap the SL-25's single medium laser and small laser for two ER medium lasers and an ER small laser, and the aft position drops the SL-25's medium laser and small laser for a single ER medium laser and an ER small laser. The hull runs an XL engine under ferro-aluminum armor in place of the SL-25's fusion plant and standard plate, and fifteen double heat sinks replace the nineteen single heat sinks of the earlier model. Fairchild Dornier builds the type at Mizar.
